Happy 50th 1973 Class Reunion and hope this website has the ability to display "We are Family" and congrats to our 50th 1973 Class Reunion Organizing Committee making this event a reality and to the Classmates of 1973, Then, Now and Departed!
I was quiet, but my vision today, "Providing economic development & leadership education towards sustainment and self-reliance for people of African Descent" , as our Class song is saying "We've Got to Make It". Making it is being the best person you can be! We've had the honor of attending The McDonogh #35 High School and not only attending, but a part of The Class of 1973 and it all started on St. Ann Street, across the street of the Municipal Auditorium and of course, across the street from The First Black Wall Street in America, Congo Square. We were close to the first African American neighborhood in America, Faubourg Tremé. It is situated north of the French Quarter in New Orleans, our location was home to the first civil rights movement, the first black daily newspaper, black businesses, and more. Oh, we attended the first African American High School in New Orleans. We have serious ROOTS, now show some love and let's do this!
Did not find out we were classmates until early 2000s!
